This 18th Century Farmhouse had the old existing terrace drastically expanded to include a new family entertaining space. A new custom outdoor kitchen was formed, with Farrow & Ball painted cabinets, large Napoleon BBQ, Neolith sintered stone worktop cover. All of this is then covered with a bespoke Oak and Cedar shingled gazebo situated in the corner of the new terrace, supported by new Flemish garden wall bond brick walls to mirror this impressive farmhouse property.
A sunken log fire pit provides a sheltered yet central view of the house, garden and beyond. Through the terrace and behind the kitchen area, the terrace opens out to a 12x6m swimming pool with seamless bullnose coping and deep grey liner for a contemporary finish. The entire area is finished in Florence Grey porcelain, for a clean yet understated finish that compliments the lime mortar of the surrounding brickwork. Quartz split-faced cladding then adds a contemporary finish to the new raised beds.
Planting throughout merges the traditional English garden with a contemporary Mediterranean style. Stainless steel Collingwood spike lights and Industville lighting in the kitchen area provide atmospheric lighting at night.
