We were delighted to be involved in the design and development of this wonderful family garden. A space created for everyone to enjoy, from parents and children to friends, family, and even the dogs.
The garden is arranged across five different zones, rising approximately two metres from the house to the top of the plot.
At the lower level is a spacious patio enclosed by a granite dry-stone wall, with Jura Grey limestone steps leading up the first zone-metre level change. Clearly visible from the house, these first two tiers are richly planted to create an immediate sense of softness and greenery.
The next transition is defined by clay paver steps and bespoke Corten steel gates, which not only create a striking feature but also help keep the dogs safely within the garden.
The central zone features a circular hardwood sun deck set amongst lawn and dense planting. From here, further clay paver steps rise from Zone 3 to Zone 4, where a generous circular patio of Jura Grey limestone sits within a lush lawned area. Jura Grey stepping stones sweep upwards in concentric curves, naturally guiding you through the garden and beyond, both the bespoke lower gate and a second circular Corten moon gate higher up the space.
Tucked discreetly behind a black bamboo screen in Zone 5 is the trampoline, carefully hidden from view, alongside an oak and steel outdoor gym complete with monkey bars, chin-up bars, and dip bars.
Beneath the trampoline, mulch provides a soft natural surface, while the gym area features a durable resin-bound rubber base.
Throughout the garden, Inlite low-voltage lighting has been installed as part of a smart system, allowing flexible control directly from a mobile device.
Each zone is also equipped with a pop-up irrigation sprinkler system, ensuring the lawns and planted borders remain healthy and vibrant all year round.
